Injection molding and plastics machinery can depend on repeatable pressure, flow and response. The complete component code and machine conditions should be reviewed together.

Application and control details

  • Machine manufacturer and model
  • Pressure and flow during each relevant cycle phase
  • Voltage, connector, current or voltage command and feedback signal
  • Fluid grade, normal and startup temperature, cooling condition
  • Expected repeatability, cycle-time baseline and commissioning plan

Common causes of a technically similar part performing differently

  • Different proportional-valve command range, electronics or null adjustment
  • Pump control dynamics that change pressure transition or cycle time
  • Internal leakage that becomes visible during pressure holding
  • Incorrect seals or viscosity range at the machine's operating temperature
  • Connector pinout, sensor scaling or PLC parameters that were assumed rather than verified

Record the original machine settings and a good-cycle baseline before changing a valve or pump. Without a baseline, commissioning cannot separate a component difference from an existing system problem.

Acceptance record

For a changed model, agree the measurements that release it for production: cycle time, pressure stability, temperature, leakage, noise, response and product-quality result. Higher-risk changes should begin with one controlled sample.
