Industrial equipment requests often involve repeatable duty, downtime pressure and legacy model codes. The machine circuit and installation details remain essential.

Production data to include

For factory equipment, the review should capture not only nominal ratings but also how the component is used during a complete production cycle.

  • Machine function, cycle time, shifts per day and start-stop frequency
  • Working, standby and peak pressure with known pressure spikes
  • Flow demand, actuator speed and any heat or pressure-drop problem
  • Voltage, control signal, connector, feedback and PLC interface
  • Mounting, ports, access, allowable piping changes and delivery window

Maintenance release and acceptance

  • Record the original failure mode before replacing the component; contamination, cavitation or circuit faults can damage a new part.
  • For a changed model, define who approves drawing differences and who owns machine-level safety validation.
  • Agree the receiving inspection: identity, interfaces, settings, cleanliness, documentation and packaging.
  • For a critical production asset, use a controlled first article or sample before stocking a batch.

A lower purchase price does not offset unplanned downtime. The quotation should keep technical differences and open checks visible to maintenance and purchasing teams.
